# Billing & plans

> Plans, issued-pass metering, usage, and invoices.

Billing is managed by workspace **owners** under **Settings → Billing**.

## How metering works

Passlet bills on **issued passes**: every issued pass counts as an active pass for each billing period it is active. The **Issued passes this period** tile on the billing page shows current usage against your plan's quota.

## Plans

* **Free** — a hard cap of included passes; issuance pauses at the limit.
* **Starter** and **Premium** — larger quotas; usage beyond the quota is billed monthly as
  overage. Both are available **monthly or yearly** (yearly saves a percentage shown on the
  page).
* **Enterprise** — custom quotas, commitments, and terms; contact sales from the billing page.

Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades are scheduled for the end of the current period — the page shows a banner with the scheduled change.

## Managing your subscription

* **Manage in Stripe** — payment methods, invoices, and receipts are handled in the Stripe
  customer portal.
* **Cancel / Resume** — cancel at period end or resume a scheduled cancellation.
* **Usage ledger** — a table of closed billing periods (period, status, issued, billable,
  total), exportable as CSV.
